Emily graduated magna cum laude from Concordia University in 2009. She went on to complete her law degree at Valparaiso University School of Law in 2013 where she graduated in the top 25% of her class. While at Valparaiso, Emily, received the Pro Bono Commendation, served as a Research Assistant in the Legal Writing Department and a Legal Writing Teaching Assistant.
Prior to joining Ozarks Elder Law, Emily worked in Compliance at The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and with America National Insurance Company where she gained invaluable experience analyzing regulations, legislative rules and eligibility determinations. While practicing in her home town of Kansas City, Emily served as Conflicts Counsel in the Business Law Section of a Sedgwick, LLP.
Emily is licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri and the United States District Court, Western District of Missouri. She is a member of the Missouri Bar Young Lawyers Section, Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the Junior League of Springfield.
