Nicole is originally from Gainesville, Florida, and attended the University of Florida.  She earned an undergraduate degree in Public Relations with a minor in Business Administration.  Nicole then went on to law school at the University of Florida – Levin College of Law, graduating in 1998.  She was the Executive Research Editor of the University of Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy and won an award for excellence in research editing.  Nicole’s note “Marriage and Divorce:  Degrees of ‘I Do,’” won the award for best note in the Fall of 1997 and was published in the University of Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy, Vol. 9:2, fall 1998 (West Law cite:  9 UFLJLPP 265).  Nicole earned honors in Appellate Advocacy and was a Teaching and Research Assistant for Legal Research and Writing and Appellate Advocacy.

After graduating from law school, Nicole worked for a statewide workers’ compensation defense practice.  She then clerked for the Honorable Judge Gary R. Jones, United States Magistrate Judge for the Middle District of Florida in Ocala, Florida.

Upon relocating to Missouri, Nicole clerked for the late Honorable Judge Richard E. Dorr, United States District Judge for the Western District of Missouri.  She then went on to join a mid-size general practice firm.  Nicole specialized in complex litigation, business litigation, employment law, civil rights defense, and municipal representation.  She handled matters in both state and federal courts in Southwest Missouri and in the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.  Prior to joining Ozarks Elder Law, Nicole focused her practice to the areas of estate planning, elder law, and business formation and planning.

Nicole is a member of the Missouri Bar, the Florida Bar, the Western District of Missouri, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.  She is also active in the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association and the Greene County Estate Planning Council.

Nicole and her husband have twin sons who keep them busy.  In her free time, Nicole enjoys cooking, gardening, reading, photography, and yoga.
